At the age of 13, I was buying health and fitness magazines and involved in multiple sports. I believe an "accomplishment" can just be your life-long commitment to exercise. That takes continuous effort. I have spent the majority of my life being active or exercising in some way. I have occasions that I lose motivation of course, like most of us do, but then, I am inspired by our athletes, my husband, and our two kids to begin again. I've always strived to find a good balance between "enjoying life, YOLO" and living a healthy lifestyle. Previous volunteer work in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and working as a Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Physiologist, has kept me on the path of appreciating a healthy mind and body. I have two children, almost 2 years apart, with my husband, Andy. I made sure to always be mindful of my body during both pregnancies and working out during those long months was the best thing I could have done for myself and for them.
